Surprise, surprise I'm a nerd. Most of my friends are online and we talk either over AIM or Sykpe. Online dating well let's just say I'm no stranger. I had a date on Sunday. Obviously it wasn't that great if I'm getting to writing about it now. It was wonderfully awkward because one I am awkward and two he didn't look anything like he said he did.
Said he was: 6' 2", auburn hair, pudgy.
He was: 5' 3", balding/comb over, fat.
Once my 5' 10" (6' in heels) self got over his lies about his physical appearance the real fun started. I would have been okay with a hobbit. Hobbits are cute but this guy... he ate with his mouth open, licked his fingers and then took food off my plate without asking, didn't bring any money so I paid the bill, talked about sex way too much, asked me for gas money at the end of the night, and swore at me when I didn't want to kiss him.
I've met a lot of weird people from the internet but this guy was a jerk. A tiny bald lying jerk. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess he hasn't been laid in 10 years because he's a jerk and not because he's "shy" like he said he was. |

I wasn't alone on New Years. No, I spent it in a small apartment with my receptionist and her friends. I was easily the oldest person there and they didn't seem to care which was really nice. I played beer pong for the first time and accidentally got high. Accidentally? Someone gave me half a brownie. Everyone says I was hilarious but I don't really remember. That's the last time I hang out with a bunch of 20 something year olds. I think being a loser alone at home on New Years and playing Halo is cooler.
Leah, my receptionist was really freaked out. She thought I was going to fire her. It's not really her fault. The funny part was that she baked me brownies to say sorry. |

1. Because I have no family here I'm going to Portland for Christmas Eve to help out at the soup kitchen.
2. Because I'm a nerd and have no family here I'm going to be playing Call of Duty all day.
i. If anyone wants to come over and play video/board games feel free.
ii. If anyone wants to play band hero come over for sure.
iii. If you're a nerd/geek and have nothing to do just come over.
3. Because I feel like it I'm going to spend a few hours in a sauna. |

I'm trying to be more adventurous with my food and cook ....it was my new years resolution and I haven't done a very good job with it. Today I'm making yellow Thai curry. It's in the oven right now and I'm a little worried that because it was so easy to make that it will turn out like mush. Batasmi rice is expensive up here. If this turns out well I'll either order some offline or go somewhere but offline is a lot easier. I haven't had Thai food in ages. I hope it doesn't give me the trots.
Next week I'll do something with my wok. I found a recipe online for Thai basil chicken that sounds so good. I've had my wok for years but haven't used it. Well I used it once when I first got it but it has been sitting collecting dust. It's so simple to grab a bag of doritos and eat that with some cola I'm pretty bad at eating healthy. I eat out way too much. I think cooking would be more worthwhile if I had someone to cook for. Doing this for myself seems so ridiculous. |

I felt so old when I went to see Harry Potter. The lines were full of teens dressed up. I don't know what it was but I picked the time to go when all the junior high school children went. Either way I was happy. I haven't actually read the books which I know is some sort of sin I'm not that interested in them but the movies I like. I watch them because I'm a girl and Alan Rickman is my favorite.
What I did love reading was Lord of the Rings and I'm re-reading them now starting with The Hobbit. I'm going to have a LOTR movie-thon starting this Friday, extended addition. Starting off with, of course, The Hobbit cartoon.
I'm not listening to music right now because I some how deleted the drivers for my sound card. I don't know why I think I can go into my computer and play with it. Anyway. Now I need to stop being so lazy and go to the acer website and download the driver and install it. I'm singing to myself right now, I keep going between Richard Cory, Love Shack, and Jingle Bell Rock.
I need to make dinner but I'm too tired to do anything. Why don't I have leftovers? I didn't do anything for Thanksgiving. I'm morally against the holiday and I don't have any family to spend it with around here sad panda. I can either heat up some healthy choice or make that chicken I took out of the freezer last night.
Computer then food? Food then computer? Neither? Star Wars time. |
